Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and altcoins experienced a major crash in the final months of 2025. While BTC fell to $80,000 and Ethereum to $2,600, bullish expectations for 2026 remain.
At this point, Tom Lee, the co-founder of Fundstrat and head of BitMine, known for his bold predictions about Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market, shared his latest prediction for Ethereum.
Speaking to CNBC, Tom Lee, the head of BitMine, known as the world’s largest holder of Ethereum, stated that Ethereum could reach an all-time high in 2026 due to increasing institutional demand.
Lee predicted a price of $7,000-$9,000 for ETH this year, while stating that $20,000 is possible in the long term.
“If institutional investors tokenize real-world assets and on-chain finance projects come to life, the price of Ethereum could rise to $7,000-$9,000 earlier this year.”
Ethereum is an infrastructure that can bring efficiency to the traditional financial system and create real use cases.
“In the long term, $20,000 is also possible.”
According to the latest data, BitMine holds 4,110,525 Ethereum, which is approximately 3.41% of Ethereum’s total circulating supply. BitMine is notable for continuing its Ethereum purchases even during the downturn, and aims to acquire 5% of the total supply in the long term.
