“Our vision is to bring treasury management, intelligence, and execution together, giving finance teams the ability to act faster and operate continuously without adding complexity or sacrificing control.”
AI Links Forecasting With Payments
Ripple Treasury uses software to coordinate financial tasks with help from its GSmart artificial intelligence tools. Functions include determining available cash, forecasting future balances, matching financial records, managing liquidity, and processing payments. Ripple describes the integration as connecting decisions with execution while reducing manual work.
As of March, 46% of organizations represented in the Association for Financial Professionals’ (AFP) Liquidity Survey reported holding more U.S. cash than a year earlier. Ripple also cited the survey’s finding that 86% of treasury professionals would choose real-time money market funds if they met their organizations’ investment policies.
American Airlines, Trax, Christian Louboutin, Subway, Adecco, and Kingfisher are among the businesses named in Ripple’s treasury announcement. The company describes a strategy combining treasury management, payments, liquidity, stablecoins, and custody to simplify operations across conventional and digital payment systems.
Bank Custody Expands $RLUSD’s Institutional Reach
The platform’s origins trace to Ripple’s $1 billion GTreasury acquisition announcement in October 2025, marking its entry into enterprise treasury management. GTreasury provides software for managing corporate cash and financial operations, bringing forecasting and risk management capabilities to Ripple’s digital asset infrastructure.
Institutional infrastructure expanded when Standard Chartered began offering $RLUSD custody on Oct. 12 for tokens issued on the XRP Ledger, through its Dubai International Financial Centre branch. The bank also joined Ripple and LMAX Group, an institutional trading infrastructure operator, on an arrangement to make $RLUSD eligible collateral for agreed LMAX products while the tokens remain in custody.
Regulatory requirements also shape stablecoin operations, with Ripple outlining differences in reserve rules and supervision in September. The company distinguished money transmitter licenses, state trust charters, and banking oversight, which impose different capital requirements and protections if an issuer fails. State trust charters authorize trust companies to operate under state supervision.
