President Donald Trump’s $1.4 billion in crypto earnings from 2025 have returned to the political spotlight after Sen. Elizabeth Warren renewed criticism of his business activities during his second term.
Trump’s latest financial disclosures show that cryptocurrency ventures became a major source of income, including hundreds of millions of dollars linked to the Official Trump memecoin and World Liberty Financial.
Warren cited those earnings alongside other Trump-related business arrangements while arguing that Congress should address possible conflicts involving elected officials and digital assets.
Warren Renews Focus on Trump’s Business Activities
Warren highlighted Trump’s cryptocurrency income, which disclosures showed exceeded $1.4 billion in 2025, while criticizing several other Trump-linked business arrangements.
She cited Trump Media and Technology Group, which charges between $60,000 and $100,000 per month for early access to posts from 10 prominent Truth Social accounts, including Trump’s. Two media organizations have sued Trump over the service.
Warren also raised concerns about a Qatari 747 aircraft that was received as a gift. Experts cited in the reporting said converting the aircraft for presidential use could ultimately cost taxpayers more than $1 billion and take several years.
She also described Trump as “the most corrupt president in American history,” saying the list of allegations continues to grow.
Trump Crypto Earnings Surpass $1.4 Billion in 2025
Trump’s latest financial disclosures provide a detailed summary of the scale of his cryptocurrency income.
The 927-page filing showed that Trump earned more than $636 million through CIC Digital, a Trump Organization affiliate connected to the Official Trump memecoin. Most of that income came through a licensing agreement between CIC Digital and Celebration Coins.
World Liberty Financial generated nearly $600 million in additional income, according to the disclosures. Trump, his sons and the family of special envoy Steve Witkoff co-founded the cryptocurrency company during the 2024 presidential campaign.
The figures place Trump’s combined 2025 cryptocurrency earnings above $1.4 billion when income from his different digital-asset ventures is included. Trump had previously criticized cryptocurrency, calling it a “scam.” However, his position shifted during the 2024 election campaign and continued after he returned to the White House.
Crypto Policy Adds to the Political Dispute
The Senator has repeatedly criticized Trump’s cryptocurrency ventures and argued that the CLARITY Act does not sufficiently prevent presidents or their families from profiting from digital assets.
However, Trump has rejected concerns surrounding his cryptocurrency income, saying the earnings were neither “illegal” nor “wrong.” He has also argued that the United States must lead in cryptocurrency development rather than lose ground to China.
