$BNB’s largest treasury marks official rebranding
Formerly known as Surna, the company previously rebranded to CEA to reflect its engineering focus on specialized indoor cultivation facilities. The newest renaming aligns with its complete pivot into the digital asset economy, as communicated by its CEO Alex Odagiu:
“My priorities are to grow $BNB per share and build an operating business on $BNB Chain, starting with our planned validator.”
The company’s balance sheet shows that most of its valuation comes from the 515,544 $BNB it holds, worth roughly $381.5 million at the current market price. Comparatively, the core agriculture-linked revenue brings in about $29 million annualized.
Interestingly, the moniker “$BNB Standard” was a community choice, which is a rare thing for corporate entities to do. Against 3 other choices, the name won by 47% in a 5-day public advisory poll on X.
BNC stock and $BNB token performance
At press time, BNC had barely moved in after-hours, trading at $5.32 after closing at $5.33. However, its 3-month performance stands out positively, with a 92.42% stock price surge and market cap swelling to $219.87 million. This offsets the 1-month 9.20% drop amid management transition and re-evaluation of its token-treasury corporate structure.

$BNB has also moved on slightly in the past 24 hours, gaining 0.07% to trade at $740.22. It, however, maintains its position as the fourth-largest cryptocurrency globally, with a market cap hovering near 97.5 billion.
Developmentally, the $BNB Chain team has announced an early 2027 mainnet launch of an entirely new high-performance Layer 1 Blockchain running alongside the existing Binance Smart Chain (BSC). The latter averages 450 milliseconds in block time and 650 milliseconds for transaction finality. The proposed parallel network features bullish upgrades: 200 milliseconds block time and just 20 milliseconds for transaction finality.
