Avatar Mode allows players to explore Lunacia like never before. In this early release, players can roam freely with their Axie avatar, visiting various plots and the four vibrant villages: Goldenwind, Evergreen, Winterblue, and Hazymoon. This new mode also enables real-time socialization, allowing players to engage with other Lunacians using the new chat feature, which includes general, local, and world channels, all enhanced with emojis.
How to Navigate Avatar Mode
Getting started in Avatar Mode is simple and intuitive. Players can select their favorite NFT Axie to represent them in Homeland Avatar Mode. The controls are user-friendly, with navigation possible through WASD keys or point-and-click methods, similar to games like Stardew Valley. The expansive world of Lunacia offers diverse landscapes to explore, including neighbors’ plots and the unique charm of each village. For those preferring faster travel, portals are scattered throughout the homeland so they can quickly jump from one location to another. The chat features further enhance the experience, allowing communication through various channels and adding personality to conversations with a wide range of emojis.
To ensure a seamless experience, Axie Infinity is hosting an Open Beta Test from July 17th to 24th. This period allows players to explore Avatar Mode, help test the servers, and win rewards. After the beta, Avatar Mode will go offline temporarily for further enhancements, with a full launch planned for late July or early August. To make the Open Beta Test engaging, Axie Infinity has planned daily events with opportunities to win collectibles. Players can enter raffles by posting screenshots of their favorite moments during meetups on X with the hashtag #HomelandAvatar.
On July 17, 2024, the event will occur in Winterblue Village at 13:00 UTC (8 PM VN | 9 PM PH), with rewards including 3 Xmas Axies and 5 Icy Flowers. On July 18, 2024, the event moves to Hazymoon Village simultaneously, offering 3 Shiny Axies and 5 Phantom Altars as rewards. On July 19, 2024, Evergreen Village will host the event at 13:00 UTC (8 PM VN | 9 PM PH), with rewards of 3 Japanese Axies and 5 Grass items. On July 20, 2024, the final event will be held in Goldenwind Village at 13:00 UTC (8 PM VN | 9 PM PH), featuring rewards of 3 Summer Axies and 5 Big Ruin Shards.
