Neo SPCC released Neo Exporter v0.16.0 on Oct. 26, introducing real-time Prometheus metrics for NeoFS network economic parameters alongside network map version tracking, updated stack dependencies, and a breaking change to endpoint configuration.
Network economy metrics
The headline addition is a set of seven new metrics that expose NeoFS network settings directly to Prometheus monitoring dashboards. Six track economic parameters stored in the Network Map contract: container fee, container alias fee, basic income rate, epoch duration, max object size, and withdraw fee. A seventh metric exports the current network map version, allowing operators to track state changes across epochs.
These parameters govern the economics of NeoFS storage, including how much operators earn per gigabyte, what it costs to create containers, and the duration of settlement cycles. The new metrics arrive at a particularly relevant time: Neo SPCC recently proposed increasing storage pricing by 50× and container fees by 5× to address sustainability concerns for storage node operators. With v0.16.0, operators can now monitor these parameters in real time as they potentially change in response to that proposal.
