Flap, a $BNB Chain token launchpad, generated $1.18 million in revenue on Aug. 1, passing Pump.fun in daily revenue for the first time, according to DefiLlama.
Flap earned $1,183,980 on Aug. 1, edging out $1,103,266 for the entire Pump family — the pump.fun launchpad plus its PumpSwap AMM and trading terminal — per DefiLlama’s parent-protocol data.
The flip came during a strong stretch for Pump, which had earned between $1.3 million and $1.44 million a day from July 27 through July 31.
Flap’s run-up was steep: the platform made $28,343 on July 19, then climbed through $541,637 on July 30 and $663,511 on July 31 before the Aug. 1 spike, a roughly 40x jump in two weeks. Essentially all of it came from $BNB Chain, which accounted for $1.18 million of the Aug. 1 total, with small contributions from Robinhood Chain and X Layer.
The surge coincided with the relaunch on Flap of 币安人生 (“Binance Life”), the memecoin that surged more than 3,000% on Four.Meme last October after Binance co-founder Yi He posted the phrase on X. Its original developers redeployed the token on Flap with a new contract in late July, per CoinMarketCap.
Four.Meme, another $BNB Chain launchpad, briefly flipped Pump.fun in October 2025, and Flap has since absorbed nearly all of that chain’s launch flow while Four.Meme’s revenue has collapsed to about $17,000 a day.
Pump.fun Still Bigger
Over any longer window, Pump remains dominant. The Pump family earned $31.4 million over the past 30 days against Flap’s $4.42 million, and its $1.22 billion in lifetime revenue — including more than $1 billion from the pump.fun launchpad alone — dwarfs Flap’s $52.3 million, per DefiLlama. Pump.fun’s PUMP token traded at $0.0022 on Aug. 3, down about 75% from its September 2025 high, per CoinGecko.
Flap launched in June 2024 and describes itself as a programmable token launchpad, born out of an ETHGlobal hackathon win. Unlike Pump.fun’s flat-fee model, Flap lets creators launch tax tokens with trading taxes of 1% to 10%, routed to community incentives, treasuries or marketing. DefiLlama counts only Flap’s bonding-curve fees as revenue, excluding token taxes.
Tax Token Risks
Trading tool GMGN warned that some tokens launched on Flap carry dynamic tax-rate risk, with sell taxes configurable up to 100% — making them effectively unsellable, per PANews.
