Binance Futures is taking a new step to offer its users a wider range of trading options and enhance the trading experience.
Binance Futures Lists XPLUSDT Trading Pair
The company announced that it will launch pre-market trading for its XPLUSDT perpetual contract at 12:30 PM on August 22, 2025. This new contract will provide investors with up to 5x leverage.
The underlying asset for the XPLUSDT contract has been announced as Plasma (XPL). Plasma is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain specifically developed for high-volume, low-cost global stablecoin payments. The project’s total supply is 10 billion XPL, with an unlimited maximum supply. USDT will be used as the settlement asset in transactions.
During the pre-market trading period, the contract’s mark price will be calculated every second and determined based on the average of the last 10 seconds of trading. If there are insufficient transactions during the relevant time period, the price of the last 20 transactions will be used as the basis. This method aims to reflect price fluctuations more fairly and consistently.
The funding rate will be fixed at +0.005% during the pre-market period and will fluctuate between +2.00% and -2.00% once the pre-market trading concludes. Funding fees will be calculated every four hours.
Binance Futures also announced that the XPLUSDT perpetual contract will be tradable 24/7 and support multi-asset mode. This move is expected to increase investors’ access to new stablecoin-based payment-focused projects.
