The crypto industry is entering a consolidation phase that goes deeper than anything seen in previous bear markets, according to ARK Invest researcher Lorenzo Valente. The warning isn’t abstract: capital is concentrating fast, weak projects are being flushed out, and the fallout — in the form of bankruptcies, shutdowns, and forced mergers — is only expected to intensify in the months ahead. Key takeaways ARK Invest’s Lorenzo Valente says the current crypto industry consolidation is more severe than in any prior bear market cycle. Hyperliquid and PumpFun alone account for 67% of total application revenue across crypto; the top three…
The Official $TRUMP memecoin was once one of the most talked-about assets in crypto. Launched ahead of Donald Trump’s second inauguration, it quickly attracted enormous attention and billions of dollars in trading activity. A year later, the picture looks very different. With the token trading around $0.76, roughly 98% below its peak, many investors are asking whether political memecoins have lost momentum and whether newer AI-focused presales deserve a closer look. Why the $TRUMP Memecoin Lost Momentum The Official $TRUMP token became a major market story during early 2025. At its highest point, the token traded close to $75 before…
In July 2025, House Republicans staged a coordinated three-bill blitz they called ‘Crypto Week;, advancing the $GENIUS, CLARITY, and the Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act in the same five day stretch. The $GENIUS Act was signed into law within 24 hours, creating a regulatory framework for dollar-backed stablecoins. However, the other two bills weren’t so lucky. The Anti-CBDC Surveillance State passed the House by an extremely narrow margin, and got stuck in Senate purgatory without a floor vote in place for over a year. Following the House’s bipartisan passage of the CLARITY Act, the bill landed in the Senate Banking Committee…

An early Bitcoin investor who had been inactive for a long time in the cryptocurrency market has resurfaced. According to data shared by the on-chain analytics platform Onchain Lens, a “whale” who accumulated a large amount of $BTC during the years when Bitcoin was trading between $10 and $15, has made its first transfer after approximately 10 months. According to the data, the investor in question transferred 50 $BTC, with a current market value of approximately $3.22 million, to a new wallet address. Following the transfer, market participants began to speculate on the possible purpose of this move. Onchain Lens…
Most of the coverage treated these as contagion events, which they were. But contagion describes how losses spread, not why some positions were exposed, and others weren’t. That question has a more useful answer, and it starts with how the industry talks about yield: as a product, something you market, package and sell like a phone plan, then stack against your competitor’s number and let users sort by size. That framing makes yield easy to compare. It also strips out almost everything that determines whether a given yield holds up. On any exchange interface, yield arrives as a figure on…
$ANSEM and $CASHCAT have become two of the biggest memecoin success stories of 2026. Both started with relatively small communities before attracting millions of dollars in trading volume and producing remarkable returns for early participants. Their rapid rise has once again shifted investor attention toward projects that are still in the presale stage. Among those gaining interest is MemeToro ($MT), a BNB Chain project combining AI-driven launch tools with a broader SocialFi ecosystem rather than focusing on a single memecoin. $ANSEM and $CASHCAT Took Different Paths to Success Although both tokens generated significant returns, they reached the spotlight through different…

Jito, the largest liquid-staking protocol on Solana, recently put forward a governance proposal that would commit its entire share of fees from JTX, its new trading platform, to buying $JTO tokens on the open market and permanently destroying them. The plan, filed as JIP-38, only works if JTX becomes popular and generates a lot of trading fees. While the buyback program would create demand for $JTO tokens, the burn mechanism would also reduce the total number of $JTO tokens in existence. What’s the new proposal for $JTO tokens? Nick Almond, Head of Governance at the Jito Foundation, wrote a proposal…
