Where the $RLUSD Goes
Upshift lists the Uphold-facing vault as USD Earn and names Sentora as its strategist. Its latest reported asset value was about $2,379 in a snapshot from Oct. 29, before the public announcement; that figure is not a measure of deposits since launch.
The registry identifies an associated deployment wallet. Ethereum records show that wallet depositing into Sentora’s $RLUSD Main vault and holding its receipt tokens, corroborating the lending route. The underlying Morpho vault page describes lending against collateral including Bitcoin wrappers, staked ETH and yield-bearing stablecoin derivatives.
The underlying vault is much larger than the Uphold-facing product: Morpho’s API reported about $437.7 million in total assets at the time of reporting. That total covers the underlying vault, not money supplied by Uphold customers.
Uphold says Sentora selects and monitors the lending vault against a programmatic risk-allocation strategy agreed with Uphold. Its legal terms say neither Uphold nor its access partners retain custody, possession or control of assets after deposit into the protocols. Sentora’s specific disclosures also disclaim custodial duties.
What the Return Depends On
Uphold’s advertised rate, dated Oct. 29, moves with borrowing demand and is not guaranteed. Sentora takes 10% of what the product earns, Uphold takes a commission, and users pay network fees on transactions. Uphold’s help page says the APY displayed in the app already accounts for service fees.
The product disclosures say returns may include limited-time incentives; they do not provide a split between lending interest and incentives for the advertised 7% rate. They also warn that users can lose their entire allocation and that the product is not FDIC-insured.
Withdrawal requests are not a promise of immediate cash access. Uphold’s terms make withdrawals subject to market conditions, protocol availability, applicable cooldown periods and users’ open positions, with network fees applying when funds return to an Uphold account.
