Shytoshi Kusama, the leader of Shiba Inu’s project, expresses frustration with the growing presence of shadowcats within the ecosystem as the date of the ShibaCon 2024 event draws closer.
The Shiba Inu leader highlighted this challenge in an X post today, emphasizing the large number of shadowcats.
According to the X post, his primary concern is the limited time he has to deal with this growing threat before the commencement of the highly anticipated ShibaCon 2024, Shiba Inu’s first global conference.

Kusama first introduced the conference shortly after his appearance at IVS Crypto 2024. He stated that the inaugural ShibaCon 2024 conference will coincide with DevCon 2024.
While DevCon 2024 will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 12 to 15, Shiba Inu’s ShibaCon will be held in the same city on November 10.
In a lengthy X post yesterday, Shiba Inu’s marketing specialist Lucie characterized ShibaCon as a pivotal moment for SHIB’s ecosystem. She noted that the event is crucial for blockchain enthusiasts, particularly Shiba Inu community members.
According to her, ShibaCon presents a unique opportunity for attendees to connect with the Shiba Inu community, engage in discussion relating to the ecosystem, and explore advancements in decentralized finance (DeFi).
ShibaCon promises to provide valuable exposure for companies and projects, making it the ideal platform for visibility.
“Whether you’re looking to launch a new product, build partnerships, or simply increase brand awareness, advertising at ShibaCon positions your brand at the forefront of a rapidly growing movement,” Lucie said.
Furthermore, the marketing lead stated that ShibaCon 2024 offers attendees the opportunity to be part of “something bigger.”
Shiba Inu Seeks Speakers and Sponsors for ShibaCon
Meanwhile, Kusama called attention to ShibaCon earlier this week during his presentation at the Blockchain Futuristic Conference (BFC). He stated that Shiba Inu will overtake the streets of Thailand to showcase memecoin’s true capabilities.
In the meantime, he urged potential speakers and sponsors to visit the home of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, shib.io, to sign up for the conference.
