The arrangement could significantly broaden Gemini’s distribution as crypto companies compete for a share of the rapidly growing prediction-market business. Platforms including Kalshi and Polymarket have helped turn event contracts, which allow users to wager on the outcome of real-world events, into one of the fastest-growing corners of trading.
Crypto firms have increasingly turned to prediction markets and other new products to diversify revenue as weaker trading volumes have squeezed income from their traditional spot businesses.
Gemini has been building out the regulatory infrastructure needed to compete in U.S. prediction markets. Gemini Titan received a Designated Contract Market license from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission in December 2025, allowing it to operate a regulated derivatives exchange and offer prediction trading.
In April, another subsidiary, Gemini Olympus, secured a Derivatives Clearing Organization license from the CFTC, allowing Gemini to bring clearing and settlement for Gemini Titan in-house.
“We believe that predictions are the future of markets,” Gemini CEO Tyler Winklevoss said in the release.
The agreement deepens an existing relationship between the two firms. Gemini launched commission-free stock trading for certain U.S. customers in July, with Apex Clearing Corporation acting as the custodian and clearing broker.
The companies said they expect to finalize details of the prediction-market collaboration in the coming weeks.
