Bitcoin is making another attempt to break out of its recent trading range today, and one analyst says the setup still leaves room for a move higher before any real downturn takes hold.
The overall trend remains bearish according to the analysis, but the short-term picture tells a more hopeful story. Bitcoin’s support zone right now sits between $59,317 and $62,436, analysts say, and as long as that zone continues to hold, the case for a bigger bounce before any further decline stays intact.
That view is backed by how the recent pullback looks on the charts. The decline from Bitcoin’s July high has been slow, choppy, and controlled, a pattern that typically signals a pause rather than the start of a serious drop. That’s a contrast to previous declines earlier this year, which moved faster and looked far more aggressive.
A Breakout Attempt Is Already in Progress
Bitcoin is currently pushing against the upper edge of its recent trading channel. The next resistance zone sits between $66,200 and $66,300, marking the last major swing highs from June and July. If Bitcoin can clear that zone convincingly, the path opens toward $69,000 to $72,000, with $76,000 floated as a more ambitious target further out.
Nearby Levels Worth Watching
Two closer resistance points, near $64,346 and $64,939, are seen as the first real test of whether this bounce has real strength behind it. On the downside, a break below roughly $63,276 would be an early warning sign that another short-term dip is starting, even if the bigger picture bullish case stays alive.
Stocks Had a Strong Day, Crypto Didn’t Quite Follow
Big tech stocks like Oracle and Google rallied sharply today, but crypto lagged, with Oracle up around 9%, Google up 4.4%, and Amazon gaining about 2%, while most major cryptocurrencies stayed relatively flat over the same period. The analyst noted that today’s strength in stocks may have helped prevent Bitcoin from slipping lower, even without crypto posting gains of its own.

For now, the main question is whether Bitcoin can close firmly above resistance or whether the market needs one more shallow dip before making its next real move.
