Decentralized finance protocol Aave plans to deploy an RWA hub on Avalanche focused on institutional borrowing. Through this infrastructure, approved entities will be able to access digital fiat liquidity by using tokenized financial instruments as collateral.

The initiative aims to address working capital needs across corporate portfolios. Under this framework, entities will be able to secure direct loans without liquidating their underlying on-chain holdings.
Aave Labs detailed in its official announcement that the platform will run on the Aave V4 deployment available on the Avalanche network. The technical design relies on a Hub and Spoke architecture, engineered to partition credit markets into independent modules while remaining linked to a shared global liquidity pool.
Each satellite spoke will manage its own collateral rules, liquidation ratios, and risk parameters in isolation. Technical protocol documentation indicates that this separation is designed to mitigate systemic contagion if a specific collateral type faces illiquidity or adverse credit events.
The hub will support instruments such as tokenized Treasury bills, money market fund shares, private credit notes, corporate bonds, and real estate fractions. Stani Kulechov, founder of Aave, stated that the strategy aims to help tokenized assets transition beyond primary issuance into functioning actively as collateral within decentralized credit markets.
USA₮ Integration and Institutional Liquidity Expansion
The core lending liquidity will be denominated in USA₮, the stablecoin designed for the U.S. institutional market. The digital asset is issued by Anchorage Digital Bank, an institution operating under a U.S. federal banking charter, with technical and operational support from Tether.
Unlike USDT, which is built for global offshore circulation, USA₮ was structured to meet the settlement standards of financial institutions subject to federal oversight. Bo Hines, Chief Executive Officer of Tether USA₮, affirmed that integrating the asset into Aave V4 aims to expand regulated avenues through which corporate treasuries can draw liquidity against compliant collateral.
The broader tokenized asset market posted an estimated 40% increase over the course of 2026, reaching a valuation above $51 billion according to industry figures cited in the report. Avalanche accounts for more than $3.4 billion of that total, driven by institutional funds such as BlackRock’s BUIDL, which routed $436 million to the network within a single week in late August.
Aave V4’s architecture on Avalanche accumulated over $20 million in deposits across its first 60 days of operation. Historical platform data points to a direct precedent with the Aave Horizon market, launched in August 2025, where firms including Superstate, Circle, and Centrifuge enabled credit facilities secured by digital securities.
According to Aave Labs, the protocol has not set a final launch date for the credit hub nor published the final list of eligible assets, which will be disclosed in a supplementary release prior to mainnet deployment.
