COZ distributed 498 $NEO across six developer tooling contributions in round 2.9 of Proof of Working 2.0, the grassroots rewards program recognizing open-source ecosystem work outside traditional grant pathways. The round brings cumulative distributions to 5,577 $NEO across nine rounds since the program’s January relaunch. All six contributors recognized in round 2.9 have received awards in previous rounds, reflecting sustained engagement from the program’s developer community. The awarded projects span governance visibility, vesting usability, wallet integration, deployment workflows, local development environments, and real-time contract event monitoring.

Developer Updates
R3E Network’s neox-rs, the Rust-based Neo X full-node client introduced last week, reached its first stable release at v2.4.3. The update fixes four consensus divergences from the reference Neo X Geth client, particularly around Anti-MEV Envelope handling, and has validated more than 7.21 million MainNet blocks with zero state-root mismatches. The non-validator full-node path is now qualified for production evaluation, though validator mode remains experimental.
R3E Network completed a major architecture overhaul of its Solidity-to-NeoVM compiler, now called neo-devpack-solidity. The project allows Ethereum/Solidity developers to compile contracts for deployment on Neo N3, not as EVM bytecode, but as native NeoVM artifacts.
