Gold-i, the UK-based FX and crypto trading technology provider, said on September 16 that it has integrated Crypto Finance Group into MatrixNET, its multi-asset liquidity bridge. Crypto Finance is part of Deutsche Börse Group, the German exchange operator, and the tie-up gives Gold-i’s brokers, proprietary trading firms and fund manager clients access to its institutional digital asset trading and liquidity services.
Clients can connect to Crypto Finance through MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, DXtrade and CLEO. Gold-i said the connection can be switched on within a client’s existing MatrixNET configuration, with no separate integration or development work required.

Regulated Liquidity Added to Existing Infrastructure
Tom Higgins, CEO of Gold-i, called Crypto Finance “an important addition to our liquidity network,” saying clients want deep, high-quality liquidity but also need to choose counterparties that meet their regulatory requirements. He pointed to Crypto Finance’s status as part of Deutsche Börse Group, with regulated entities in both Switzerland and Germany, as bringing “the institutional credentials that our clients are increasingly looking for.”

Crypto Finance operates under FINMA supervision in Switzerland and BaFin supervision in Germany.
In January 2025, its German subsidiary became one of the first providers in the EU to secure a Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation license, covering custody of crypto assets, exchange of crypto for fiat and other crypto assets, transfer services and order execution. The license lets Crypto Finance offer these services to institutional clients across the European Union under a single regulatory framework.
Part of a Broader Pattern of MatrixNET Expansion
The Crypto Finance link extends a run of additions Gold-i has made to MatrixNET over roughly the past year and a half. The platform currently connects to more than 80 liquidity providers and 35 crypto exchanges, according to Gold-i. Prior additions covered by Finance Magnates include Edgewater Markets for precious metals and FX, decentralized exchange Hyperliquid for on-chain derivatives, crypto CFD liquidity from Scope Prime, the Crypto.com Exchange, and decentralized options venue Derive.xyz.
Higgins has told Finance Magnates in past interviews that “crypto liquidity and FX liquidity are sort of coming together,” a view that has continued to inform the company’s product roadmap.

Mike Schwitalla, Chief Commercial Officer at Crypto Finance, said institutional adoption of digital assets depends on “trusted access, regulatory certainty and infrastructure that fits existing operating models.” He added that the Gold-i integration opens “a more direct route to regulated digital asset markets” through infrastructure already used across the industry.
Gold-i said the Crypto Finance integration fits its broader push to widen access to regulated liquidity providers and venues through MatrixNET, while extending Crypto Finance’s reach into brokerage and fund manager channels. The companies said the arrangement is intended to simplify connectivity and cut operational complexity for firms building compliant digital asset trading setups.
MatrixNET is used by brokers, fund managers, proprietary trading firms and crypto institutions. Gold-i describes the platform as offering a range of routing and aggregation methods that let clients tailor execution to different client types and trading needs, with the company saying this helps clients achieve better pricing, grow their client base and reduce toxic flow.
Neither company disclosed the financial terms of the integration or a timeline for client rollout.
