The growth in Litecoin Network Activity shows that the asset is experiencing stronger on-chain demand even as its price remains below previous highs. Data from FORCEX indicates that Litecoin’s Adjusted Economic Value (AEV) has more than tripled over the past year, rising from 8.81 million $LTC to 30.95 million $LTC in payment activity.
AEV measures the actual value transferred across the network while removing the impact of unspent transaction outputs (UTXOs). This provides a clearer view of economic activity because it focuses on effective transfers rather than technical transaction movements.
The broader transaction volume has also increased, moving from 38.21 million $LTC to 58.43 million $LTC during the same period.
Litecoin Network Activity Expands Through Institutional Adoption
Institutional involvement is becoming another important factor behind Litecoin’s recent momentum. Swiss financial institution BancaStato has introduced support for Litecoin transactions, allowing customers to buy, sell, and hold $LTC through traditional banking services.
These integrations improve accessibility for investors who prefer regulated financial platforms and strengthen Litecoin’s position as a payment-focused digital asset. The network has also recorded growth in its user base, with the number of $LTC holders reaching 8.86 million, according to available market data.
Some analysts have questioned transaction metrics because Litecoin’s SegWit system can sometimes include large balances within single transactions. However, AEV attempts to adjust for these factors and provide a more accurate measurement of genuine network activity.
Can $LTC Break Above The $50 Resistance Zone?
Litecoin’s price has shown signs of recovery after spending approximately 6 weeks consolidating between $41 and $45. The asset moved above a descending support trendline after the 9-day simple moving average crossed above the 21-day SMA.
