Bitbase, a Spain-based crypto ATM company, is ready to grow its network in Argentina, taking advantage of the rising popularity of these assets in the country. The company opened its first Argentine location last year and hopes to keep expanding its operations in 2025.
Bitbase Expands Crypto ATM Network, Aims to Lead Industry in Argentina
The economic revival of Argentina and its investment-friendly policies are taking crypto companies to enter the country. Bitbase, a crypto ATM operator, announced opening new locations with ATMs in several cities this year.
The Spain-based firm, which has over 130 ATMs worldwide and over 4 million local users, entered Argentina last year, launching its first ATM in Buenos Aires.
The new ATM will be located in a new office in Cordoba. Bitbase Argentina CEO Nadia Karabin explained that an undetermined number of ATMs would be installed in several parts of Buenos Aires and other provinces.
Bitbase focuses on providing crypto services to the less savvy, allowing them to have their first contact with these assets with its aid, opening these interactions to a wider audience.
Karabin states that for people unaware of crypto, “it is the perfect gateway to the cryptocurrency industry, reliably and securely, with specialists who have been in the sector for seven years who have a presence in other countries.”
Bitbase’s ATMS are bidirectional, meaning that apart from buying crypto, users can also sell their cryptocurrency for fiat currency, expanding the functionality of these machines.
One of the advantages of using these ATMs resides in the confidentiality of their usage, as purchasers can obtain crypto without reporting these purchases to local authorities. They can also send the purchased assets to cold or self-hosted wallets, all from the same ATM.
Regarding this functionality, Karabin declared:
We support financial freedom and for this reason users can send their assets wherever they want from the ATM itself.
These movements aim to establish a foothold for the company in Latam markets, a goal that Bitbase has pursued since 2022 when it opened an office in Paraguay.
