It is an on-site program, named the Apex Growth Accelerator, scheduled to run for 10 weeks at the San Mateo campus in California. Participating companies will gain access to specialized technical mentorship and the Draper ecosystem’s business networking channels.
This collaboration channels resources toward initiatives with already structured minimum viable products. Through this model, they aim to transform early-stage projects into entities capable of securing formal funding rounds.
The program’s financial framework provides up to $70,000 for each admitted team, targeting a 3.5% equity stake. This model replaces the traditional non-repayable grant format with a direct equity partnership between founders and investors.
Draper University reported that the application process prioritizes projects focused on real-world asset (RWA) tokenization and institutional DeFi protocols. Industry spokespersons note that this focus could streamline integration between traditional capital markets and smart contract architecture.
Financial backing for the program stems from its integration with the Orion Fund, an $80 million strategic fund announced in April 2026 in collaboration with Draper Dragon. The Cardano Foundation provides institutional support and technical alignment for program oversight.
