Canary Capital renewed its marketing push for the Canary $HBAR ETF on July 30, describing HBR as the first U.S. spot exchange-traded product holding Hedera’s native token. The post was not a new launch announcement. HBR began trading on Nasdaq on Oct. 28, 2025, after its registration became effective with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The latest fund data gives a clearer view of its current scale. HBR held 704.35 million $HBAR and reported about $47.8 million in net assets on July 30. The product had 5.18 million shares outstanding and charged a 0.95% sponsor fee. 🐤 Enterprise crypto…
U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres denied KalshiEX’s request for an emergency injunction pending appeal on July 27 in KalshiEX LLC v. Williams. The Southern District of New York also rejected Kalshi’s alternative request for short-term administrative relief. The three-page order does not dismiss Kalshi’s appeal or resolve the underlying lawsuit. It only denies protection from New York enforcement while the appellate dispute continues. Kalshi appealed after Torres denied its preliminary-injunction motion on July 7. That earlier ruling found that the Commodity Exchange Act likely does not preempt New York gambling laws as applied to Kalshi’s sports-event contracts. The appeal was…
By Friday afternoon, the mood on commodity trading desks changes. For the first four days of the week, traders have been trying to profit from their bets. By lunch on Friday, however, they’re thinking about how much risk they can tolerate until markets reopen on Sunday evening. Anything could happen while markets are closed: news of a new war, an election result, an unexpected OPEC announcement or, as seen recently, a market-moving presidential post. Forty-eight hours can be a long time when traders are holding a position tied to a few of the world’s most actively traded markets, and there’s…
MARA Strips Away the Access Codes MARA Holdings, the Nasdaq-listed bitcoin miner and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure provider, formerly known as Marathon Digital, built the Slipstream service so people can send bitcoin transactions straight to its mining pool instead of broadcasting them to the public network. Most bitcoin transactions travel through a shared waiting room called the mempool, where every node on the network can see a transaction before it gets confirmed into a block. Slipstream skips that waiting room. A user submits a signed transaction directly to MARA, and it stays hidden until MARA mines a block with it…

Down to its last $4,000 in cash, a crypto firm holding millions in Solana is seeking a loan to survive $1.5M debt
UK-based Supernova Digital Assets has built a multimillion-pound crypto treasury, but its latest accounts expose the strategy’s less glamorous constraint: cash. An unfinished lender switch now stands between the company and further token sales, making its reported $SOL position a test of whether it can secure cheaper funding without letting liquidity needs dictate its treasury strategy. Supernova reported just £3,000 of cash against £1.132 million of current liabilities, including £847,000 of interest-bearing borrowings. The Solana-focused treasury company said replacement financing is its preferred route to limit further crypto sales. The unaudited results released July 30 showed total assets of £2.944…
IMF Acknowledges Size of Brazil’s Crypto Market, Calls for Enhanced Oversight International financial institutions are acknowledging the size and relevance of the cryptocurrency market in Brazil and have sounded the alarms on the impact of ignoring regulations on these flows. In its latest Financial System Stability Assessment report, published this month, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) highlighted the massive growth of crypto financial rails and called for defining the regulatory framework to increase oversight on them. The report found that crypto-based cross-border flows have been steadily growing since 2017, outpacing volumes of traditional capital. Most of these flows are driven…
Stripe’s stablecoin partnerships head, Connor Fitzgerald, has stepped down after helping build the company’s global stablecoin card program from launch to operations across more than 100 markets. Connor Fitzgerald announced on X that last week was his final week at Stripe and its stablecoin infrastructure business Bridge, ending a tenure that began shortly after Stripe completed its acquisition of the stablecoin platform. Last week was my final week at @Stablecoin and @stripe.I joined one month after the acquisition closed, when no one had built a stablecoin card program with a true sponsor bank, and helped build the global card program…
As discussions continue on the Bitcoin network regarding the BIP-110 proposal, its supporters have begun preparing a remarkable contingency plan that could be activated if miners block the update’s activation. Bitcoin developer Chris Guida announced that he has repurposed the proof-of-work code, originally created by Luke Dashjr in 2017, onto a current version of Bitcoin Knots. Guida stated that this work is a last resort that could be used if miners fail to give signals indicating they are ready for BIP-110. BIP-110 stands out as a soft fork proposal aimed at temporarily restricting arbitrary data storage in Bitcoin transactions. Also…
