Aethir, a decentralized graphics processing unit (GPU) cloud computing provider, has announced the launch of the $100 million Aethir Ecosystem Fund to accelerate innovation in AI and gaming. The initiative, which includes the Aethir Catalyst program, is designed to provide startups and enterprises with access to high-performance GPU resources. The fund will distribute 336 million ATH tokens over the next year, with an equal focus on AI and gaming projects.
Daniel WANG, CEO of Aethir, said the $100 million fund will address the needs of startups and enterprises trying to access high-performance GPU resources. The Aethir Catalyst program is the foundation of the fund, which will allocate $20 million to support more than 100 projects through grants and subsidies. According to Mark RYDON, co-founder and CSO of Aethir, the fund represents a major effort to democratize access to GPUs and reduce the financial barriers faced by companies in these sectors.
The 336 million ATH tokens, split equally between AI and gaming projects, will be used to create strategic partnerships and support innovation across multiple fields. The fund’s distribution model aims to reduce computing costs for companies integrating AI, machine learning, or high-performance gaming applications. In addition to grants, the fund includes a subsidy program that covers up to 35% of off-platform GPU services, allowing companies to access high-performance computing without upfront costs.
