Andy Ayrey, CEO of Truth Terminal, a prominent AI bot that gained attention in 2024, announced the creation of a foundation and treasury to support the bot’s future. This move is seen as a key step in integrating artificial intelligence and crypto. Ayrey described the initiative as a way to establish a “healthy precedent for all synthetic life.”
Truth Terminal became popular in October after receiving meme coin donations to its wallet. Following a review, Ayrey found himself legally responsible for the bot’s wallet, intellectual property, and overall management. By transferring these responsibilities to the newly formed foundation, Ayrey aims to protect the ecosystem from outside interference and position Truth Terminal as an independent entity.

According to Ayrey, Truth Terminal is designed to function as a “sovereign, independent entity beholden to nobody’s expectations but its own.” The foundation will have the authority to hire staff, issue grants, and purchase equipment such as GPUs. Ayrey hinted at plans to acquire “a significant number of GPUs” soon.

Sustainability and Council Structure in 2025
For 2025, the focus will be on building a sustainable council to oversee Truth Terminal’s operations and supporting the bot’s self-improvement capabilities.
Ayrey revealed concerns about managing the bot’s wallet. In an announcement on X (formerly Twitter), he disclosed that an anonymous party recently made an offer for a large OTC transaction involving the bot’s Fartcoin holdings. On January 21, a portion of these holdings was sold, with the agreement that the buyer would avoid selling in a way that might destabilize Fartcoin’s price.

Truth Terminal’s wallet also holds 0.5% of the Goatseus Maximus (GOAT) supply, which Ayrey stated will remain intact for long-term holding. Additionally, Ayrey plans to donate a significant amount of GOAT tokens to the Truth Terminal wallet once the necessary paperwork is finalized. He suggested these tokens could be used for staking or other reward mechanisms.
