Michael Saylor, founder of Strategy, stated that he believes Bitcoin’s long-term return will outperform the S&P 500 index. In his assessment, Saylor argued that Bitcoin has the potential for approximately 30% annual growth, offering higher return opportunities compared to traditional financial instruments.
According to Saylor, converting earnings from Bitcoin investments into tax-deferred loan dividends could provide investors with higher returns than money market funds. Saylor stated that this model is particularly attractive for institutional investors, adding that Bitcoin has become not only a store of value but also a fundamental building block of the next-generation financial system.
Strategy has been one of the companies that have stood out in recent years with their aggressive Bitcoin purchases. The company holds hundreds of thousands of BTC on its balance sheet, and Saylor has long described Bitcoin as “digital gold.” In his latest statements, he predicted that loan funds will eventually absorb a large portion of the Bitcoin supply held by miners. This situation is considered to increase supply tightness in the market and create upward pressure on the price.
Saylor also argued that tokenization technology would have a transformative effect on the global financial system. He stated that tokenization could make capital markets more free, weakening monopolies in the banking sector and increasing the velocity of asset circulation.
With institutional adoption accelerating in the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin is said to be strengthening its position as an alternative investment vehicle to traditional financial markets. Analysts point out that the entry of institutional capital into the market, especially following the proliferation of spot Bitcoin ETFs, could be a decisive factor in price movements in the long term.
