Sentient, a decentralized artificial intelligence (AI) developer, has launched Sentient Chat, an agentic chatbot with over 15 natively integrated agents, as per the reports shared with Finbold on Thursday, February 27.
The chatbot went live on February 26 and attracted over 1 million users within 24 hours.
Consumer-friendly AI chatbots
Sentient Chat was revealed at the Open AGI Summit during ETH Denver and presented to an audience of over 1,500 AI and blockchain developers.
With four agents available from day one, Sentient Chat users can invoke specialized functions and experiment with automating tasks.
Other Sentient Chat features include a real-time search function integrated with Dobby’s knowledge base and current internet data, which helps bypass some limitations associated with static training sets.
Given the benchmarking data provided by Confident AI, which gave Dobby’s model a high score in regard to dialogue realism, Sentient aims for a human-like conversational tone.
This model places Sentient Chat alongside established chatbots such as ChatGPT and Claude.ai and positions it as a viable alternative to tools such as Google’s Perplexity.
Sentient’s partnership with Dobby
Dobby, the world’s first community-owned AI model, also came out earlier this year and boasts over 660,000 users.
Holders of Dobby non-fungible tokens (NFTs), tied to Sentient’s flagship Loyal AI model, had priority when accessing Sentient Chat.
The launch of Sentient Chat likewise builds on Sentient’s earlier work with Dobby, such as promoting human-like conversation in AI models, a trend also mirrored by competitors such as xAI.
In addition to tone realism, evaluations by Confident AI likewise highlight Dobby’s high performance.
Sentient Chat also promises high real-time performance combined with a responsive design to accommodate Sentient’s community-centric tenets.
This design philosophy ensures that users themselves can extend the capabilities of conversational AI the more they use the chatbot.
