Robinhood’s developer documentation describes trading through Uniswap pools and market-maker quotes routed through aggregators such as 0x and 1inch. Regular holders acquire and exit positions through secondary markets; direct minting and burning with the issuer are reserved for authorized participants.
Most RWA Value Is Deployed in DeFi
DefiLlama’s Robinhood Chain dashboard, read on Oct. 28, showed $323.55 million in onchain real-world assets, with $246.74 million deployed in DeFi—a utilization rate of 76.3%.
Those are network-wide figures, not a measure of Robinhood-issued equities alone. The dashboard attributed $161.27 million in assets to Robinhood’s own platform, including $89.65 million deployed in DeFi, or 55.59%. It also tracked assets from Maple, Midas and Ondo on the chain.
DefiLlama defines DeFi deployment as assets held in tracked third-party protocols, excluding issuer-managed contracts and exchange wallets. The measure captures capital deployed, not trading volume or the amount borrowed.
The network’s trading infrastructure also connects different token issuers. As The Defiant reported, Ondo brought 15 stock and ETF tokens to Robinhood Chain on Oct. 27, alongside 11 Uniswap pools pairing its tokens with Robinhood tokens referencing the same underlying assets.
Access to Robinhood’s products remains restricted. Its disclosures describe Stock Tokens as debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited, providing economic exposure without legal or beneficial rights in the underlying securities. They cannot be offered, sold or delivered in the U.S. or to U.S. persons, with additional restrictions including Canada, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
Round-the-clock secondary trading also differs from round-the-clock issuance. Robinhood’s documentation says users may continue buying and selling existing tokens onchain outside the weekday tokenization window, when minting and burning are unavailable.
