This addresses a common rug-pull method. If a developer controls unlocked LP tokens, that person may remove the paired asset and leave buyers holding a token that is difficult to sell.
Locked liquidity does not create demand or stable prices. A memecoin can still fall close to zero if holders sell and few buyers remain.
How MemeToro Plans to Make Liquidity Verifiable
MemeToro’s launch manifest is designed to publish the liquidity percentage, paired asset, funding rate, wallet caps and round conditions before users contribute. The completed document would receive a digital fingerprint called a hash.
FairLaunchEscrow.sol can store that hash inside each round. Users could then compare the contract record with the published manifest to check whether the advertised terms match.
The escrow restricts contributor funds to two routes:
- Funds return to contributors if refund conditions apply.
- Funds move to the launch executor for liquidity after a successful round.
There is no direct route to a developer treasury. The contract also lacks an owner, administrator and upgrade path.
These rules make the funding path easier to inspect, but final PancakeSwap execution is still under development.
What Remains Before On-Chain Liquidity Launches
MemeToro has published 1,373 lines across 17 files in its first fair-launch contract update. The Foundry tests cover caps, deadlines, funding thresholds, refunds and claims.
The release does not yet include the completed executor that will deploy tokens, create PancakeSwap pools and manage LP tokens. Testnet deployment and an independent security review also remain pending.
This is an important limitation. Current code proves that the escrow rules are public, but it does not prove that every future launch already has locked PancakeSwap liquidity.
Before using the platform, buyers should inspect the final executor, LP lock address, lock duration and deployed contract. They should also confirm that the reviewed code matches the live bytecode.
Verification only works when the complete transaction path is visible.
