CCIP 2.0 Targets Institutional Adoption
One of the week’s biggest milestones was the launch of CCIP 2.0, which opened the upgraded cross-chain infrastructure to institutions and digital asset issuers. The update is designed to improve security, compliance, and transaction efficiency as more financial assets move onchain. Chainlink said CCIP has secured more than $84 billion in cross-chain token value, with over $15 billion migrating to the network during the last four months.
The technology is already being integrated by firms including BitGo, Fidelity International, Crypto Finance, and SBI Digital Markets. Adoption is also expanding in traditional finance. Coinbase selected Chainlink for oracle infrastructure tied to tokenized stocks, and Wyoming is using the network for its FRNT stablecoin. Growing participation from major firms adds another layer of utility for the Chainlink network.
Market Watches the Next Major Levels
Despite the recent profit-taking, Chainlink remains one of the stronger performers of the past month. Analyst Michaël van de Poppe believes older cryptocurrencies such as $LINK could outperform their previous cycle results, citing continued development and growth across the Chainlink ecosystem.
Meanwhile, Whale Factor identified $17.30, $20, $23, and $28 as key levels based on Fibonacci extensions. The $20 mark is viewed as the next major hurdle. If Chainlink breaks above that area, higher targets could come into focus. For now, Chainlink holders appear to be balancing profit-taking with confidence in the project’s longer-term expansion.
