Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has confirmed that an appearance on the massively popular “Joe Rogan Experience” is part of his media strategy, but he has fallen short of clarifying how much $ADA fans will have to wait for it to happen.
Before taking the stage on the world’s largest podcast, he wants Cardano and its broader ecosystem to make more progress.
Interestingly, Hoskinson described his recent in-depth conversation with Shawn Ryan as a “trial run” for Rogan.
A Joe Rogan appearance, which could potentially attract millions of views, could give $ADA, which is currently down 95% from its record high, much-needed mainstream exposure.
“Rogan After Goguen”
Speculation about a potential Joe Rogan appearance has been part of the Cardano lore for years.
Before Cardano’s smart contract launch, the community rallied behind the catchphrase “Rogan after Goguen” (a reference to the Goguen era of the roadmap).
Hoskinson previously gained a lot of exposure during a marathon five-hour episode of the Lex Fridman Podcast back in 2021.
For years, rumors swirled that Hoskinson had an open invitation or that an appearance was imminent.
However, Hoskinson has acknowledged that the plan is still alive despite the uncertainty regarding the exact date of his appearance.
SpaceX and an astronaut
Hoskinson has also revealed several ambitious projects, including an unbelievable aerospace initiative, disclosing details regarding an NDA with Elon Musk’s SpaceX.
Hoskinson noted that the SpaceX NDA included a “massive marketing campaign for Cardano to buy a SpaceX mission.” There could be seats for $ADA and $NIGHT holders.
New commercial deals
Hoskinson is highly confident in the network’s legal standing despite ongoing industry turbulence. “Cardano $ADA will be a mature blockchain, Midnight $NIGHT will be a mature blockchain, so I don’t worry about the regulatory reality for us, but there are challenges in the industry,” he stated.
He also teased a new commercial integration involving a project called Pogun. Hoskinson noted that “Pogun was a commercial deal to connect the upside of Pogun’s use directly to the Cardano $ADA treasury. All the tech is mostly there, it’s a commercial-ready venture. I’ll propose some changes to governance so these obvious choices can get approved,” Hoskinson said.
