BNB Chain has announced hosting the opBNB festivities celebration. The same will begin on December 28, 2023, and end on January 17, 2024. It is being linked with the upcoming New Year’s Eve to spark interest in the minds of community members. However, the reward pool of $450k+ as a Giveaway is likely to work the most.
Only select members of the community can participate. They must have held BAB tokens on opBNB or BSC, held opBNB Genesis NFT or BNB Chain 3YA NFT, and engaged in transactions for at least 5 days prior to the commencement of the event. Transactions must have been done on opBNB or BSC. Consecutive transactions are not necessary, per the announcement.
Members who qualified for the event are ecstatic, but others who did not qualify are disappointed. Some members have criticized the announcement on X, formerly Twitter, arguing that BNB Chain should simply reward its active users without making anything complicated out of it.
The number of users who have criticized the event is lower. Others are excited to participate, saying that it is going to be an awesome New Year celebration with BNB Chain.

The reward depends on the severity of the bug reported to the team. Minor vulnerabilities fetch $200–$600 in rewards, while critical vulnerabilities can roll out rewards up to $100k.
