Ethereum node operators now have an active public network for rehearsing Glamsterdam’s coordinated execution- and consensus-client upgrade. Platåberget has an open, permissionless validator set, turning the upgrade into a practical test of whether client pairs, validators, builders, and supporting infrastructure continue to work together. Trading activity on Shibarium-based decentralized exchanges (DEXs) is showing signs of recovery after daily volume surged by more than 1,500% within 24 hours. According to data from DeFiLlama, Shibarium’s DEX trading volume jumped 1,517%, rising from just $17 on July 9 to $275 on July 10. Dubai entity Flowdesk Omega FZE, a subsidiary of French-headquartered Flowdesk, a liquidity provider and virtual asset trading technology firm backed by BlackRock, Cathawy innovation, and Coinbase ventures, has received a crypto brokerage dealer license from Dubai’s Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA). The United States joined Japan’s effort to support the yen after preliminary central-bank data indicated Tokyo may have deployed almost $96 billion over two days, putting Bitcoin traders on alert for a possible unwind of positions financed with cheap Japanese capital.
