A new arXiv preprint studying seven major Bitcoin crashes found the warning signal shifting among price, leverage, and order flow from one event to the next. One clue echoed across six usable cases. Taker order-flow variance tightened before each cascade, a faint weather front across the group rather than a siren traders could trust to call the next crash. Ramon Marc Garcia Seuma submitted the single-author paper on July 29, 2026. The work has not been peer reviewed. It analyzed Binance’s USD-margined BTCUSDT perpetual market across cascades from May 2022 through October 2025, using one-minute price bars and five-minute open…

Kraken has redesigned Kraken Prime as a self-service trading and operations interface for institutional clients, moving more of the product away from API integrations and desk-managed workflows. The company said the updated Prime interface now gives clients access to execution, settlement, access controls and order management without requiring API setup. The platform is aimed at institutional users that want to manage trading activity, exposure and post-trade processes from a single interface. The crypto market has struggled through much of the year amid limited capital inflows. Now, it could face tighter conditions capable of squeezing more liquidity from the space. The outlook followed rising U.S. bond yields, which increased the appeal of lower-risk assets. This shift could leave crypto holdings such as Bitcoin [$BTC] and altcoins off investors’ preferred list. Bitcoin has already shed over $675 billion in market value since its January high. Could rising bond yields hurt crypto? The 30-year U.S. Treasury yield climbed to 5.234% during the early hours of the 30th of July. That move marked its highest…

Sei Network is rebuilding its blockchain from the ground up to hit 200,000 transactions per second with finality under 400 milliseconds. The project, called Giga, is not one upgrade but three separate ones working together: a new consensus layer, a new execution engine, and a new storage system. Sei Labs published the public roadmap in late May 2026, and parts of it are already live on mainnet. For readers who know Sei only as a fast, trading-focused Layer 1, Giga marks a jump in ambition. The network’s earlier throughput sat in the 5,000 to 12,500 TPS range. If Giga hits…
