Bitcoin traded at $65,971 per coin at 11:45 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, according to market data. That price sits in the middle of a derivatives market that has grown increasingly split between institutional confidence and retail caution. Futures Open Interest Spreads Across a Dozen Venues Total bitcoin futures open interest across tracked exchanges reached 755,780 $BTC, worth $49.82 billion, Coinglass data shows. That figure slipped 4.26% over 24 hours even as it ticked up 0.11% in the most recent hour, a sign traders are trimming positions gradually rather than rushing for the exits. Ethereum’s price action this week has created a potentially important setup for Thursday and Friday. $ETH keeps moving through short-term liquidity areas without picking a clear direction, so the two levels to keep an eye on are this week’s high around $2,535 and a low near $2,440. Source: TradingView $ETH formed a broader range early in the week, with ~$2,512 acting as resistance and ~$2,467 as support. Rather than breaking into a sustained trend, price repeatedly swept both sides of the range, signaling liquidity grabs and choppy, volatility-driven conditions. Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s Price Movement Tuesday was the first real test…
Securitize will handle regulated securities issuance, investor onboarding and ownership records for Socios.com’s plan to sell tokenized minority stakes in professional sports teams, the two companies said Wednesday. The partnership supplies a licensed issuer for the product Socios’ parent announced on its own last week. Under the arrangement, Socios.com leads relationships with teams and the fan-facing layer, and Securitize leads issuance, transfer controls and ongoing servicing through its regulated affiliates. The tokens carry the Socios Equity Tokens brand and are, in the companies’ words, “subject to applicable securities laws, league requirements, club approvals and jurisdictional restrictions.” The release says Fan…
$ENA has spent months going nowhere, but the latest Ethena partnership with FalconX gives the token a fresh fundamental angle just as its price closes in on a major technical hurdle. The setup isn’t a breakout yet, though. Not even close. FalconX Deal Adds Institutional Lending Activity Ethena has partnered with FalconX as an institutional lending partner, with Ethena investing in stablecoin lending arrangements with the digital asset prime broker on an overcollateralised basis. The pitch is fairly straightforward. FalconX gets to scale its balance sheet, while Ethena gains access to FalconX’s loan origination and secured lending expertise, potentially offering…

Zhibao Technology, a Shanghai-based insurance-technology firm listed on the Nasdaq, said Wednesday it has signed a non-binding term sheet for a stock sale that would be paid for in bitcoin — some 3,500 coins, worth near $220 million at current prices. The deal, a private investment in public equity known as a PIPE, would have a buyer named Joyertech and Information OPC subscribe for Zhibao shares with consideration the company expects to include about 3,500 BTC. The figure remains subject to final valuation, custody arrangements, an audit, regulatory review, and definitive agreements. Zhibao stressed that the term sheet binds no…
Consensys announced plans on Sept. 9 to operate MetaMask separately from its Ethereum infrastructure business, giving the consumer wallet and the protocol builder distinct management and investment priorities. For holders of ether, the split puts a practical question at the center of the growth story: how much activity will reach the networks that use $ETH? The clearest example is already inside MetaMask. Its Money Account runs on a separate blockchain, Monad, while the new Consensys will include software used for both public Ethereum and private institutional networks. The economic effect depends on where transactions happen and who receives the fees.…
The Yield on UK government 10-year bonds surged 5.24% between June and September 2026, triggering broader market repricing as investors favored the safe-haven asset over riskier investments such as Bitcoin, $XRP, and other cryptocurrencies. With the latest surge, yields on government bonds reached their highest level since 2008, while the yield on a 30-year bond set a new record in 28 years. Investors Are Responding to Rising Inflation Investors worldwide are turning to government bond yields to protect against rising inflation, caused by surging oil prices. This situation affects developed economies, including Britain, the US, Japan, and Europe, because oil…
Crossmint launched a stablecoin funding onramp on September 2 that the company says is available across more than 160 countries. The launch announcement says fintech apps can let users fund wallets with Apple Pay, Google Pay or payment cards without sending them to a separate interface. Crossmint is positioning the product as an integrated entry point into its wallet and stablecoin infrastructure. Crossmint Keeps the Funding Flow Inside Apps The new onramp can be embedded through Crossmint components or connected through application programming interfaces for a headless implementation. In either setup, the company says the funding journey remains within the…
Are investors playing it safe rather than taking risk? Bitcoin closed August over 25% higher compared to the previous month, recording its best monthly performance since November 2024. However, the stablecoin market cap only managed to grow by 0.5% and failed to hold above $310 billion, which suggests that the inflow of liquidity is happening at a slow pace. The same pattern is evident on the on-chain level. As the chart below shows, Bitcoin rose by around 45% from its recent low, but there is a lack of spot demand, as evidenced by the 90-day CVD being neutral. Liquidity across…
