BTSE Bhutan received an In-Principle Approval (IPA) from the Gelephu Financial Services Office to move toward obtaining a Financial Services License. BTSE is a cryptocurrency exchange and digital asset infrastructure company. The approval is an early regulatory step and does not yet allow the company to begin regulated operations. If the final conditions are completed successfully, BTSE Bhutan will be able to operate in two areas. The company plans to run a multilateral trading facility for virtual assets and provide institutional custody services for storing and protecting digital assets. Together, these permissions would allow the platform to support both trading…
Bithumb, one of South Korea’s dominant crypto exchanges, has opened a Korean won trading pair for AIGENSYN, a token so obscure that neither CoinGecko nor CoinMarketCap currently offer a substantial profile for it. The listing comes with trading restrictions attached. When a South Korean exchange applies investment or trading restrictions to a listed asset, it typically means the token has been flagged for elevated risk. What we know about AIGENSYN (which isn’t much) AIGENSYN, listed under its Korean name 젠신, is remarkably difficult to research. Public data on the project’s team, white paper, and tokenomics is limited at best. The…
TeraWulf Inc. just bought itself another massive plot of Kentucky real estate, and Wall Street apparently loved it. The Nasdaq-listed company acquired the Muskie Data Campus in Eastern Kentucky, a deal that pushes its total digital infrastructure portfolio beyond 2.8 gigawatts of power capacity designed for AI and high-performance computing workloads. Shares of WULF surged more than 12% on the announcement. What TeraWulf actually bought The Muskie Data Campus sits on roughly 285 acres within the 1,000-acre EastPark Industrial Park in Eastern Kentucky. Prometheum is betting that the next phase of tokenized finance will be won not by crypto exchanges, but by traditional broker-dealers and registered investment advisers (RIAs). “The story of tokenization so far has been about issuance, but no one has addressed the challenge of how to get those products to mainstream investors,” Aaron Kaplan, co-founder and co-CEO of Prometheum told CoinDesk in an interview. “Until tokenized and digitally-native securities can reach investors through the broker-dealer channels they already use, tokenization is a solution without a market,” he added. Tokenized securities are traditional financial assets such as stocks, bonds or funds…
Financial headlines continue to warn of macro risks, yet bitcoin’s volatility metric seems to think it’s all noise. The cryptocurrency’s annualized 30-day implied volatility index, BVIV, continues to slide, hitting 38%, its lowest reading since October 2025, according to data source Volmex. When implied volatility falls, it signals that traders expect calmer price action and fewer large moves ahead. “Bitcoin volatility has collapsed, and you can see it clearly in the BVIV levels, which we track closely to monitor market complacency,” said Shiliang Tang, Managing Partner at Monarq Asset Management. “First, the geopolitical risk from the Iran conflict is finally…
BitMine Immersion Technologies has appeared on the preliminary list for Russell 1000 inclusion, according to Fundstrat’s Tom Lee. The move has drawn attention because BMNR is one of the largest public Ethereum treasury plays. Lee said FTSE Russell published its preliminary index additions and deletions on May 23. He added that BitMine’s market value was above the roughly $5.7 billion minimum for large-cap inclusion. Current market data places BMNR’s market capitalization near $8.58 billion. Nvidia just went from shipping $4.6 billion worth of its most advanced AI chips to China to shipping exactly none. Zero. In a single quarter. The company’s CFO confirmed that no data center Hopper architecture shipments reached China this quarter, a jaw-dropping decline from approximately $4.6 billion in Q1 2026. For a company that has treated Chinese cloud and AI firms as a critical revenue pipeline, this isn’t a speed bump. It’s a wall. What happened and why it matters The Hopper architecture is Nvidia’s crown jewel lineup for AI workloads. It includes the H100 and H200 GPUs, the chips…
A newly created cryptocurrency wallet has withdrawn 11,827 Zcash ($ZEC), valued at approximately $7.96 million, from the Binance exchange. The transaction, identified by blockchain tracking firm Lookonchain, represents one of the larger single $ZEC outflows from a centralized exchange in recent months. Large Exchange Outflow Signals Holding Intent Withdrawals from exchanges to private wallets are widely interpreted by market analysts as a sign of intent to hold, rather than sell. When tokens move off an exchange, they are typically less accessible for immediate trading, reducing the available supply on order books. This particular transfer, originating from a fresh wallet address,…
India’s Standing Committee on Finance held a formal session on Wednesday at Parliament House Annexe in New Delhi to discuss virtual digital assets and the path forward for crypto regulation in the country. The Lok Sabha Secretariat notice, dated May 13, 2026, confirms the session was scheduled for May 20 under the subject “A Study on Virtual Digital Assets and Way Forward.” The…
TeraWulf just bought itself a very large piece of Kentucky real estate, and it has nothing to do with bourbon. The Nasdaq-listed company closed its acquisition of the Muskie Data Campus on May 22, a 285-acre site in eastern Kentucky’s EastPark Industrial Park that it plans to develop into a hyperscale data center with more than 1 gigawatt of total capacity. The deal and the numbers TeraWulf completed the transaction with Industrial Equity Partners, picking up the sprawling site near Ashland and Grayson, Kentucky. The company plans to develop capacity in two phases: 500 MW targeted for the second half…
