SRM Entertainment rebrands to TRON Inc. as it solidifies focus on TRX treasury
SRM Entertainment, a company historically known for producing custom merchandise for major entertainment venues, has officially rebranded to Tron Inc. in a strategic shift toward managing a corporate treasury based on the TRON blockchain’s TRX token. Beginning July 17, 2025, the company’s shares will trade under the new Nasdaq ticker symbol “TRON.”
The move finalizes SRM’s transformation into a blockchain-focused entity after drawing attention last month when reports surfaced of TRON founder Justin Sun’s involvement in a reverse merger with the company. Sun joined as an advisor on June 16, and the company has since raised $210 million to support its TRX-focused treasury strategy. New York-based investment bank Dominari Securities, affiliated with Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, facilitated the deal. Eric Trump later clarified he would have no operational role at the company.
Tron Inc. now holds more than 365 million TRX tokens, positioning it as the largest publicly traded corporate holder of the asset. The firm has deployed its TRX holdings through the Tron-based lending platform JustLend, aiming for annual yields of up to 10%.
Long-term focus on the TRON blockchain
CEO Rich Miller emphasized that the rebranding reflects the company’s long-term commitment to leveraging the TRON blockchain. “We believe that TRX will continue to play a critical role in building the next generation global payment rail and a more inclusive financial infrastructure with 24/7 low-cost and fast transaction capability,” Miller said.
Shares of the company surged 25% following the announcement. However, TRX has only seen an 1.8% price increase in the last 24 hours, despite a broader uptrend among altcoins, with TRX itself seeing a 1.7% gain. Notably, SRM’s stock has increased over 1,400% in the past six months amid growing investor confidence in the company’s new direction.
Despite the name change and new strategic focus, Tron Inc. will continue its legacy operations in the toy and merchandise industry through a wholly owned subsidiary. This division remains active in producing branded products for high-profile clients including Walt Disney Parks and Resorts and Universal Parks and Destinations.
The TRON blockchain, launched in 2017, supports smart contracts and decentralized applications. As of July 13, 2025, it hosts approximately $81.7 billion in stablecoins.
