Sony’s blockchain Soneium is launching a joint campaign with Square Enix’s on-chain game SYMBIOGENESIS to provide NFT rewards on two major Soneium games.
According to a press release sent to crypto.news, Square Enix’s narrative-led blockchain game becomes the latest gaming IP to collaborate with Soneium to launch its cross-game campaign. The initiative brings together three different gaming worlds through shared quests that players can take part in to earn unique collectibles.
As part of the campaign, players must complete a limited-time quest within the main game in order to participate in a lottery to earn an NFT collectible hosted on Soneium. The collectible provides users with in-game benefits on two other blockchain-based games linked to Soneium: Sleepagotchi and Evermoon.
Dubbed as a “flagship web3 entertainment project,” SYMBIOGENESIS is an on-chain game that combines interactive storytelling mechanics, NFT ownership, and an immersive experience. Consisting of six chapters, players can collect up to 10,000 character NFTs, unlock episodes, and progress through the game’s story.
SYMBIOGENESIS players must complete chapters one through four as part of the main story epilogues by May 31 in order to earn unique NFTs. Each NFT unlocks new content in the game’s narrative and choices shape the gameplay progression. These NFTs also grant the player exclusive community mission benefits and surprises buried within Evermoon and Sleepagotchi gameplay.

Evermoon is an on-chain interactive game with fast-paced 5v5 battles, interoperable NFTs, and DeFi rewards built on Soneium. Through the Evermoon x SYMBIOGENESIS joint campaign, players can unlock limited-edition digital stickers with perks like profile customization and other rewards for gamers.
Not only that, NFT holders can also receive early access to Evermoon’s Beta and future game launches.
On the other hand, Sleepagotchi is a LITE game with a mini-app on LINE and over 1 million users on Telegram within its first month. The game grants players rewards through daily habit loops. Through the SYMBIOGENESIS campaign, players can earn Sleepagotchi boosters and a chance to unlock the Epic Rarity One-Horned Dragon character that is only available to SYMBIOGENESIS quest participants.
As previously reported by crypto.news, Soneium first launched Sleepagotchi LITE in mid-March as part of its collaboration with the messenger app LINE to launch a series of on-chain mini-apps. Aside from Sleepagotchi LITE, the collection of web3 mini-apps included Telegram-native Farm Frens, Moonveil-spawned Puffy Match and the RPG social strategy game Pocket Mob.
