A new blockchain integration has gone live, linking NEAR Protocol and Sui Network through NEAR Intents, a product intended to simplify asset transfers across different chains. The launch will enable users to swap assets from over 20 blockchains directly into Sui without requiring bridges, gas on multiple networks, or multiple wallet approvals.
NEAR Intents allows users to perform cross-chain asset swaps by expressing their desired action, such as exchanging tokens, without manually dealing with smart contracts or multiple protocols. The system relies on solvers, which identify the most efficient route for fulfilling the user’s request. This mechanism allows seamless execution of swaps from native tokens on chains like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Dogecoin, XRP, NEAR, and Zcash directly into Sui’s ecosystem.

With this integration, users no longer need to rely on token bridges or custodial intermediaries. Swaps are executed directly on-chain and completed in seconds. Over 100 native assets are available through the interface, offering broad access with minimal interaction, often in just three clicks.
Intents Architecture Enhances User Control
The intent-based system removes the need for manual gas management or complex user interfaces. Transactions such as over-the-counter trades and peer-to-peer gift transfers can also be completed using the same process. Additionally, according to the report, users retain control over their assets throughout the transaction, and swaps are finalized without compromising speed or security.
Illia Polosukhin, co-founder of NEAR Protocol, stated that the integration expands access to unified liquidity and simplifies user experience by enabling native asset swaps in one step. The process is designed to work without exposing users to friction points common in traditional cross-chain applications.
Integration Timed With Sui’s DeFi Growth
The launch comes at a time of increased activity in the Sui ecosystem. According to recent data, Sui now holds over $1.7 billion in total value locked (TVL), ranking it ninth among all blockchain networks. In the last 30 days, Sui recorded $8.1 billion in decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volume, placing it eighth in the global rankings.
Also, the market cap of the stablecoin developed by Sui surpassed the billion-dollar mark in June 2025, more than 180 percent since the start of the year. New NEAR Intents integration fits this growth path as it eliminates friction in onboarding the user and better the interoperability of assets.
Developers building on Sui can now use NEAR Intents within their decentralized application to facilitate cross-chain functionality without needing to rely on bridges or multi-chain coordination layers. The integration has been released, and more Sui-native tokens should be supported in the coming weeks.
