Peru has officially confirmed its intention to adopt IOTA in the country’s digital policy, with a specific focus on smart cities and digital government services. The announcement came through an official government portal and reported on the plan for better governance through increased transparency and efficiency via this technology.
Kenya has already started implementing IOTA via the TradeNet System via the TWIN network. The integration forms part of a plan aimed at digitizing the customs processes of the country and export certifications. It aligns with wider trends in adopting advanced tools in Africa as traditional systems fall away in a bid to enhance dependability and minimize corrupt activities.
The United Kingdom also tested the actual application of IOTA in real life.
