Crypto Tice pointed to Binance accumulation data as the engine behind the move, $ETH withdrawals from the exchange hit a three-year high, with monthly withdrawal transactions reaching 90,000, double the level seen at the start of the year. Rising withdrawal activity typically signals investors moving coins into cold storage rather than trading them, which Crypto Tice framed as conviction building rather than short-term speculation.

Prediction market Kalshi has sharply repriced Ethereum’s year-end odds as $ETH climbed back above $2,700.
Odds that $ETH closes 2026 above $4,000 now sit at 23%, up roughly 7 percentage points in the past week, while odds of $ETH exceeding $3,500 stand at 35%. Odds of a fresh all-time high above $5,000 remain low at just 11%.
The shift reflects a broader turnaround in sentiment. Back in June, when $ETH fell as low as $1,566, Kalshi traders priced a 95% chance of $ETH slipping below $1,500 and just a 13% chance of a positive year overall. Those odds have flipped: a slip below $1,500 is now priced at just 11%, while the odds of a positive year have more than tripled to 44%. Traders have also grown more confident about near-term moves, pricing a 20% chance $ETH reaches $3,000 before month end, up from just 10% on September 20.
Meanwhile, BitMine Immersion Technologies chairman Tom Lee pointed to capital rotating from AI investments back into crypto as a key driver, and his firm added 27,562 $ETH worth nearly $76 million to its balance sheet this week.
Lee said institutions have underweighted crypto in 2026 partly due to AI stock outperformance earlier in the year, and expects that exposure to increase substantially in the final quarter, adding meaningful upside to gains already made since June 30.
