Power Slap and VeChain have announced a long-term partnership to bring live slap championships to a global audience via YouTube. Dana WHITE, CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship and founder of Power Slap, along with Sunny LU, co-founder and CEO of VeChain, revealed the new deal in a press release, White and Lu also sharing the news on the X platform.
As part of the partnership, VeChain, the official blockchain partner of the UFC since 2022, will become the official sponsor and title partner of Power Slap events. The cryptocurrency company will also serve as the official cryptocurrency of the slap championship. The first event under this partnership, “VeChain Power Slap 12: Quinones vs. Bordeaux 2,” is scheduled to take place on March 7, 2025, in Fontainebleau, Las Vegas. The event will debut on Power Slap’s YouTube channel, offering a free livestream to a global audience.
VeChain’s integration will extend to all broadcast and live-streamed content on YouTube. The blockchain platform will also be featured on official athlete kits and all marketing materials, including event posters and promotional backdrops. VeChain and Power Slap plan to expand the partnership further, adding integrations targeting the UFC and UFC Foundation.
