Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) is rapidly expanding his influence in the prediction market space. He introduced a new prediction market on BNB Chain, while Trust Wallet, which he owns, added prediction trading features for its 220 million users.
These developments continue BNB Chain’s October integrations with Polymarket and the launch of the Opinion mainnet. Together, these moves aim to position BNB Chain as a key hub for decentralized forecasting markets, following October’s record $7.4 billion in prediction market volumes.
CZ Highlights New Prediction Platform with a Disclaimer
On December 4, CZ posted on X about a new prediction market launching on BNB Chain. He pointed out a key feature: user funds generate yield while awaiting outcomes. The platform is backed by YZiLabs (formerly Binance Labs), which manages over $10 billion in assets and has invested in more than 300 projects globally.

Although CZ promoted the platform, he included a disclaimer. He clarified that the founder was a former Binance employee and stressed the post was not an official endorsement. Despite this, the platform’s homepage features his image alongside public figures like Donald Trump and Faker, highlighting the promotional value of his involvement.
In October, YZiLabs announced a $1 billion fund dedicated to the BNB ecosystem. It focuses on DeFi, real-world asset tokenization, wallets, AI, and payments. The fund has already supported over 65 projects, helping drive BNB Chain’s development.
Trust Wallet Launches Prediction Trading for Millions of Users
Just one day before CZ’s update, Trust Wallet released its Predictions feature, with Web3 prediction market protocol Myriad joining as the first integration partner. This enables users to bet on politics, sports, and market trends within the app. The addition transforms Trust Wallet from a basic storage solution into a complete DeFi platform.

The new feature aligns with Trust Wallet’s strategy to compete with MetaMask and other major wallets. The Myriad integration on BNB Chain offers users low-fee trading, leveraging the network’s speed and cost efficiency. Users can trade using BNB or stablecoins like USDC, without bridges or manual cross-chain transfers.
BNB Chain Deepens Prediction Market Infrastructure
These launches build on work completed in October. BNB Chain integrated with Polymarket, allowing users to join high-volume prediction markets on BNB Smart Chain. The partnership lets users forecast real-world events without leaving the BNB ecosystem.
Launch markets included predictions that BNB would reach a new all-time high of $1,500 by the end of 2025. This move aims to make BNB Chain a leader in real-world DeFi utilities, beyond token swaps and yield farming.
Opinion Labs, the network’s prediction market provider backed by YZi Labs, launched its mainnet on October 23. The service launched exclusively on BNB Chain, offering whitelist access to users and core community members, and introduced a rebate and points system to reward early adopters.

Opinion Labs secured a multi-million dollar investment at Binance Blockchain Week, with partners including ASTER and World Liberty Financial. In Q1 2025, Opinion Labs raised $5M in seed funding, led by YZi Labs with participation from Animoca Ventures, Amber Group, Manifold, and Echo Community.
This funding seeks to expand BNB Chain’s infrastructure for decentralized forecasting. Opinion Labs promotes benefits such as uncensored event forecasting, hedging options, and aggregate data insights. Yet, the platform faces common challenges, including regulatory complexity and the need for ample liquidity for price discovery.
CZ’s Strategic Bet on the Future of Forecasting
From elections and sports to AI milestones and macroeconomic shifts, prediction markets transform scattered knowledge into actionable signals. Platforms like Polymarket, which saw over $2B in volume in October 2024, prove that decentralized markets can even outperform centralized forecasters.
CZ and BNB Chain ecosystem players are exploring a dedicated oracle layer tailored to the growing needs of prediction markets. This comes as prediction markets like Kalshi — $5B after recent funding — and Polymarket — valued at $12–$15B — have surged to multi-billion-dollar valuations amid increasing institutional interest.
Large wallets are increasingly adding tools that go beyond token transfers, aiming to keep users inside a single app. Trust Wallet CEO Eowyn Chen said, “Wallets are becoming the home for all kinds of trading — not just tokens, but also information, opinions, and expectations.”
As CZ walks to the center stage of prediction markets, all eyes are on whether he can provide the home base for next-generation prediction market platforms competing with Polymarket.
