ATH Launch and Aethir Cloud Drop Rewards Distribution
On June 12, 2024, Aethir officially launched the ATH token. ATH plays a critical role in the DePIN stack, enabling community members to earn rewards through Checker Nodes, Aethir Edge computing, and staking.
Beyond its utility, ATH is the cornerstone of Aethir’s decentralized governance model. Within one month of its launch, ATH was listed on over 15 cryptocurrency exchanges to ensure easy market access for users.
Simultaneously, the company distributed Aethir Cloud Drop rewards—an integral part of the Aethir Airdrop. Eligible participants received their share of the ATH supply, with 1.5% allocated to loyal Aethirians and node holders.
Checker Nodes Go Online
In tandem with ATH’s launch, Aethir unveiled its Mainnet, allowing Checker Node holders to set up and operate their nodes. During the onboarding period (June 12 to 27), all Checker Nodes earned maximum daily rewards, regardless of operational status.
This grace period allowed node holders to get familiar with the mechanics and decide whether to self-operate or delegate to Nodes-as-a-Service (NaaS) providers. Over 91,000 Checker Node licenses were distributed to more than 22,000 community members.
These nodes power Aeithir’s decentralized GPU Cloud, contributing to its stability and earning 15% of the ATH token supply as Checker rewards. Aeithir’s innovative staking service empowers users to stake their tokens.
