Zilliqa, under the circumstances of the current developments in blockchain technology, is about to introduce all major advancements with the release of Zilliqa 2.0 version present in its just-released whitepaper. This update marked a significant step to build a stronger, faster, and seamless blockchain ecosystem.

The digital universe continues its growth, and Zilliqa 2.0 intends to make the integration of blockchain technology ubiquitous and just as easy to consume as the regular internet.

Revolutionary Features of Zilliqa 2.0

Zilliqa embarks on a new era, which comes with innovative changes that solidify it as an important player in the Web3 space With the implementation of X-Shards and a new and improved Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm, Zilliqa is dedicated to technical excellence and user-focused development.

These improvements are not only scheduled to increase the scalability of the network as well as reduce transaction fees but also to provide seamless user experience potentially to everyone in the world who wants to interact with blockchain.

At the heart of Zilliqa 2.0 is the innovative X-Shards technology.Bringing Zilliqa 2.0 to life, X-Shards would be built upon the sharding concept from Zilliqa, and deliver the most personalized blockchain experience to date.

#Zilliqa2.0 is the next-gen evolution of our pioneering #blockchain, bringing exciting new features that allow you to shape the future you imagine. Here’s a quick look at what’s coming. 🧵👇https://t.co/9GHQ4HwTEn

This provides developers flexibility to design blockchains according to the kind of application they are building — whether it be using stablecoins as native tokens, focusing on privacy for end users, or exploring novel consensus models.

X-Shards is designed to increase the scalability within the Zilliqa ecosystem facilitating the smooth transfer of data and value among various blockchain environments.

Furthermore, Zilliqa 2.0 provides a more cost-effective solution, moving away from a Proof-of-Work consensus to a Proof-of-Stake consensus model. This elision now leads not only to a substantial energy saving in transaction validation, but also a speedup with respect to processing capabilities.

With this mechanism, validators will begin to secure the network staking ZIL tokens, resulting in faster transaction times, a more secure network, and all while maintaining the ethical and earth-friendly mission of Zilliqa.

Facilitating Seamless Interactions

Interoperability is Integral to Zilliqa 2.0, with increased cross-chain communication capabilities. EVM Compatibility — making it easier for other blockchain platforms to now access the Zilliqa network and process transactions.

Universal Cross-Chain Broker, meanwhile, helps bridge Zilliqa-based applications with other networks, further helping Zilliqa with its vision to create a more interconnected and efficient blockchain environment.

With Zilliqa 2.0, we are going to redefine how users interact with blockchain by introducing smart accounts. These accounts are accompanied by additional features which simplify the process of doing transactions and enhance user experience. Smart accounts: Signing in with social to paying gas with your NFTs – this paper gets rid of all the headaches of current Web3 tech

Light Clients in Zilliqa 2.0 – one step closer to decentralization Such clients provide a secure and private way to interact with the blockchain without the need for a fully equipped hardware, and this makes managing their digital assets more accessible to the masses.
