The BNB Chain ecosystem recently announced the 16 early-stage Web3 startups selected for Season 9 of the Most Valuable Builder (MVB) Accelerator Program. Handpicked from over 500 applicants, these projects span a wide range of categories—from AI to DeFi and infrastructure—making this one of the most competitive cohorts to date.
With a sharp focus on scalability and innovation, BNB Chain’s MVB Season 9 promises to shape the future of Web3 through hands-on support, funding, and mentorship.
The MVB Accelerator: Web3’s Growth Engine
The MVB Accelerator Program is a joint initiative by BNB Chain, YZi Labs, and CMC Labs. It’s a four-week intensive program designed to give early-stage Web3 teams the tools they need to succeed. From tokenomics and fundraising strategies to team building and product-market fit, the curriculum is crafted to cover everything Web3 builders need in their early growth phase.
Season 9 officially begins on April 5 with a two-day in-person event in Hong Kong, coinciding with the Hong Kong Web3 Festival and BNB Super Meetup. Participants will have access to exclusive mentoring sessions and direct interaction with leaders in the space.
The program wraps up on April 24, when all teams will pitch their projects during Demo Day, livestreamed for a global audience. Investment decisions will follow, with YZi Labs planning to back standout performers based on performance and vision.
Over 500 Applicants, Only 16 Chosen
Out of hundreds of applicants, only 16 projects were selected. These startups represent the strongest ideas, clearest roadmaps, and highest potential for impact across Web3. The selected teams fall into several sectors:

BNB Chain continues to show strong interest in artificial intelligence. Half of this season’s projects fall under the AI and Machine Learning category, indicating growing momentum in AI-Web3 convergence.

- Echopy: The leading AI-driven portfolio optimizer on BNB Chain.

- Everlyn: A high-speed video generation engine tailored for Web3 applications.
- JoJoWorld: A spatial 3D data network powered by decentralized AI.
- Super Protocol: A confidential AI marketplace built around collaborative computation.

DeFi: Real Yield and Permissionless Trading
The DeFi space continues to evolve on BNB Chain. Season 9 includes two projects with bold ideas aimed at expanding real-world crypto finance.

- LIKWID: A unique permissionless and oracle-less margin trading protocol offering new levels of trading freedom.
Both aim to bridge user needs in liquidity, yield generation, and trading without central intermediaries.

As the Web3 ecosystem grows, infrastructure becomes just as vital as applications. Two standout projects explore emerging niches:
- XPIN: A DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network) protocol blending decentralized wireless tech with AI-powered UX.
- Stadium Science: A DeSci (Decentralized Science) platform using prediction markets to crowdsource scientific research insights.
- Citadel Labs: A launchpad funding deep tech and scientific breakthroughs through decentralized capital.
These projects reflect a growing appetite for applications beyond financial speculation—into science, connectivity, and societal impact.
Gaming & Entertainment: Bridging Web2 and Web3
Games remain a strong entry point for new users into blockchain. Two selected startups aim to simplify that transition:
- Oneverse: A Web2 gaming marketplace in Southeast Asia that makes it easy for players to jump into Web3.
- TCOM Global: A decentralized content governance protocol fusing intellectual property management with AI and blockchain.
Infrastructure: A Time Economy Layer
- Pieverse: Described as a Time Economy Layer, Pieverse reimagines engagement by capturing user attention as a measurable and tradable asset. This concept could redefine how creators and consumers interact across Web3 platforms.
A Growing Legacy: What MVB Has Built So Far
The MVB Accelerator has grown into a proven launchpad for Web3 projects. Across eight previous seasons, 131 projects went through the program. More than 75 of them received backing from top-tier VCs, and over 60 launched tokens that gained listings on major exchanges.
