Interestingly, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin liked a Tweet he made about “PepeCoin” in 2017 minutes ago today.

The Tweet in question consists of Avalanche (AVAX) founder Emin Gün Sirer’s humorous approach to Ethereum Classic at that time, and Buterin citing PepeCoin as an example. However, today’s PEPE had not yet been released to the market in those years. PEPE was launched as memecoin about a year ago and has gone through turbulent times.
It is not known why Buterin liked this tweet after all these years, but nowadays, memecoins, especially in the Ethereum ecosystem, are showing great rises and occupying the agenda.
