VeChain enthusiast and supporter Sebastian has highlighted the network’s relevance in the evolving Web3 ecosystem. He noted that the VeChain network is turning action into value, which proves that “Web3 is not dead, but needs purpose.”
VeChain Supporting Web3’s Relevance
In an X post, Sebastian stated that Web3’s real problem is relevance, not technology-related. According to Sebastian, Web3 has failed to answer questions about why people should invest their time and resources in the technology.
He explained that investors have invested billions, and blockchain networks have released thousands of tokens into the Web3 ecosystem. Still, Sebastian says Web3 does not solve real-world issues. Hence, the average person does not see how Web3 can improve their everyday lives.
However, Sebastian pointed out that VeChain has come to solve this Web3 challenge by rewarding purposeful behavior. Unlike some chains that sell speculation, VeChain has built a participatory economy.
Users can earn rewards for sustainable actions like walking their dogs or recycling bottles. VeChain’s VeBetter DAO, which encourages positive environmental actions through blockchain technology, has gained attention. As mentioned in our previous news brief, VeBetter DAO achieved a remarkable milestone, with 3.24 million eco-friendly actions completed by users.
Sebastian further highlighted the B3TR token as the weapon of VeChain’s sustainability initiatives. The VeBetterDAO uses this token to incentivize individuals to adopt eco-conscious behaviors. Sebastian emphasized that the B3TR token is not for speculation, but for activation.
The VeChain supporter added that B3TR Loop is now live. Therefore, users can now earn B3TR as rewards for recycling, walking, participating, onboarding others, building, and sharing.
To Sebastian, VeChain’s contribution to sustainability changes the position of a “User” in Web3. He described a user as someone who has done something that matters. This description shifts away from the definition that a user is someone who bought a token.
VeChain Rewards Action Not Speculation
Furthermore, Sebastian noted that VeChain rewards contribution and not risks like other chains do.
“This isn’t DeFi, but RealFi. And it’s using action to onboard the world. Web3 is still alive. All it needed was something to be concerned about.” Sebastian concluded.
