Robinhood didn’t spend years building a blockchain only to become another home for memecoins. Less than a month after launch, its tokenized stock market is beginning to look exactly as intended, and Uniswap is sitting at the center of almost every trade.
According to onchain data, Uniswap now powers virtually the entire decentralized market for Robinhood’s tokenized equities. Version 4 alone accounts for roughly 73% of tokenized stock liquidity on Robinhood Chain, while Uniswap V3 holds another 26%, giving the protocol a combined market share of about 99% of all DEX liquidity supporting the new asset class.
The growth has been equally rapid. Data from DefiLlama shows Robinhood Chain’s tokenized real-world assets have climbed to roughly $70 million, increasing about fivefold in less than two weeks, while total value locked across the network has expanded to more than $300 million.
Tokenized Stocks Are Starting to Trade at Scale
Robinhood Crypto launched Robinhood Chain on July 1 as an Ethereum-compatible Layer-2 built specifically for tokenized real-world assets.
Its flagship product is Stock Tokens, ERC-20 assets designed to mirror the economic performance of publicly traded US companies and ETFs. Holders gain price exposure to companies such as Apple, Nvidia and Tesla without owning the underlying shares or receiving shareholder rights.
More than 90 tokenized stocks and ETFs were available at launch, giving international users around-the-clock access to assets traditionally confined to stock market trading hours.
Trading activity has accelerated quickly. According to CoinDesk, 12 tokenized equities now generate more than $500,000 in daily trading volume, while five have already surpassed $1 million per day. GameStop leads the market at roughly $26.6 million in daily volume, followed by Nvidia at $14 million and SpaceX at $6.4 million.
Uniswap Became the Default Marketplace
Robinhood didn’t leave liquidity to chance. From day one, the company integrated Uniswap V2, V3, V4 and UniswapX, making Uniswap the primary public automated market maker for Robinhood Chain. Users can immediately swap into Stock Tokens, provide liquidity or build applications using familiar Uniswap infrastructure.
V4 has quickly emerged as the preferred venue. Its hook-based architecture allows developers to customize pool behavior without deploying entirely new protocols, enabling features such as dynamic fees, automated strategies and custom execution logic. That flexibility appears to have attracted the majority of liquidity providers entering Robinhood’s ecosystem.
DefiLlama data shows Uniswap V4 currently holds around $38 million of liquidity tied to Robinhood Chain’s tokenized stock market, compared with approximately $14 million on V3.
Robinhood’s Broader Ambitions
While tokenized equities are expanding rapidly, they still represent only one part of Robinhood Chain.
The network now processes more than $600 million in daily DEX volume, has recorded over 138 million transactions during its first month, and ranks among the busiest new blockchain networks launched this year.
Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev has repeatedly described tokenization as the long-term future of financial markets, arguing that eventually every financial asset can exist on blockchain rails.
The early numbers suggest traders are beginning to test that vision.
Competition Is Getting Tougher
Robinhood’s arrival also changes the competitive landscape for tokenized securities. Platforms including Backed Finance, Ondo Finance and other RWA issuers have spent years building infrastructure for blockchain-based equities.
Robinhood enters with something few crypto-native competitors possess: millions of existing brokerage customers, a globally recognized consumer brand and a blockchain where liquidity was available from day one through Uniswap.
Whether that advantage translates into long-term adoption remains to be seen.
Stock Tokens currently provide only economic exposure rather than legal ownership of underlying shares, leaving important regulatory questions around securities classification and investor protections still unresolved. Those questions are likely to become increasingly important as tokenized equities continue moving from a niche crypto product toward mainstream financial infrastructure.
