The Shiba Inu ecosystem team has taken to the X platform to extend its warm wishes to SHIB community members to commemorate the Lunar New Year.
In a tweet yesterday, the team wished SHIB holders a “Happy Lunar New Year.” The team also highlighted its vision to make the new season the most prosperous year for Shiba Inu enthusiasts.

SHIB and Other Cryptos Spike on Lunar New Year
It is no longer news that East Asia recently ushered in its biggest festival, dubbed the Lunar New Year. According to people in the region, the 2024 Lunar New Year will become one of the luckiest seasons. Interestingly, the Chinese New Year is celebrated as the “Year of the Dragon.”
Per the Chinese zodiac, the dragon represents strength, power, and good fortune. The symbolic nature of the 2024 Chinese New Year was reflected in the crypto market. Prices of various crypto assets skyrocketed tremendously, with Bitcoin leading the charge.
Data from CoinGecko shows that Bitcoin (BTC) surged to around $48,000 while the price of Ethereum (ETH) surpassed $2,5000.
Notably, Shiba Inu was included in the recent rally, as the asset surged 2% in 24 hours to around $0.00000944. As a result, many Shiba Inu enthusiasts are hoping that bulls will continue to take control of the market, which could push the cryptocurrency to the psychological price of $0.00001.
Shiba Inu Team Plans for 2024
Meanwhile, the Shiba Inu team has been working round the clock to make 2024 a prosperous year for investors. The team has been making significant progress in its quest to revolutionize digital identity in the Web 3.0 sector.
As reported earlier, the team partnered with D3 Global for an initiative that could birth the highly-anticipated Shib Name Service (SNS). The SNS solution will be used as a universal key to unlock different Web 3.0 protocols.
Another plan Shiba Inu has for the year is to make its L2 blockchain Shibarium great. The network has continued to record widespread adoption, as seen in its total transaction count.
At press time, Shibarium has processed over 341 million transactions in less than six months. So far, 2024 has been moving smoothly for Shiba Inu. Shibarium recently achieved a milestone after doubling its user accounts to over 63,000 in just ten weeks.
Furthermore, Robinhood recently partnered with Metamask to allow its users to buy various crypto assets, including Shiba Inu, easily.
