The Shiba Inu ecosystem team has unveiled multiple avenues through which the SHIB Army can earn the upcoming TREAT token as efforts intensify around the ecosystem’s imminent layer-3 blockchain.
Amid the recent discussions surrounding the forthcoming Shiba Inu L3 blockchain that would leverage the TREAT token, the Shiba Inu ecosystem team has provided additional details for the SHIB Army.
How Shiba Inu Army Can Earn TREAT
In a recent post on X, Shiba Inu’s content specialist Lucie reminded the SHIB Army that the idea of the TREAT token draws from the original vision of Shiba Inu’s pseudonymous founder, Ryoshi.
Accordingly, Lucie noted that Shiba Inu enthusiasts have reasons to be excited about TREAT’s coming, especially as each engagement with the asset opens the door to an earning opportunity.
“By engaging with it [TREAT], you’ll earn more than just any token; you’ll acquire a fully functional asset,” Lucie remarked.

Meanwhile, the content marketer provided specific details about earning TREAT. In particular, SHIB enthusiasts will earn TREAT through staking on the ecosystem DEX ShibaSwap. The earning window also applies when SHIB enthusiasts explore SHIB: The Metaverse or engage with the Shiboshi NFTs.

Significantly, TREAT serves as a versatile reward token within the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Its roles involve enhancing liquidity for the forthcoming SHI stablecoin.
The Shiba Inu team has noted that TREAT could potentially replace the BONE token as the primary reward token on ShibaSwap. Additionally, TREAT would support the blockchain adaptation of the Shiba Inu-themed collectible card game, Shiba Eternity.
Meanwhile, TREAT’s core functionality will be its use as the governance token for the coming privacy L3 blockchain. As The Crypto Basic disclosed yesterday, the Shiba Inu team orchestrated a fundraising round by selling pre-launch TREAT tokens to venture capitalists, raising $12 million. The objective is to accelerate the launch of the layer-3 blockchain.
