In April 2022, Welly revealed that Shiba Inu had acquired a 15% ownership in the fast-food chain, and the collaboration has since flourished, with Welly accepting SHIB as a form of payment and planning to integrate Shiba Inu’s Layer 2 Blockchain, Shibarium.
The Welly Friends NFT collection was introduced in 2022 to support the franchise’s growth and provide exclusive benefits to holders, such as access to franchise licenses and a share of net profits from Welly locations.
