Shiba Inu is steadfast in its pursuit of exceeding Dogecoin in valuation, with the development team asserting that Dogecoin’s reign as the leading meme coin is counting down.
Dogecoin Days Are Numbered
The Shiba Inu team reiterated their conviction about surpassing Dogecoin in a recent post on X. It comes amid trading platform CryptoCom spotlighting SHIB as the second most valuable meme-inspired project.
Reacting to CryptoCom’s highlight, the Shiba Inu team noted that SHIB merely occupies position two today but is on track to be number one. In particular, the team remarked, “[Number] 2 today, but the Doge days are numbered.”

The statement emphasized Shiba Inu’s determination to displace Dogecoin and become the most prominent meme-inspired crypto project. The Shiba Inu Army mobilized to outrank DOGE early this month when SHIB entered the top ten rankings, trailing Dogecoin by around $3 billion.
While the exploit has been unsuccessful so far, the SHIB Army remains dogged and determined to defeat Dogecoin in the rankings.
Notably, Shiba Inu had briefly overshadowed Dogecoin in late October 2021 when SHIB attained its all-time high. However, Dogecoin reclaimed its position from Shiba Inu and remained mostly within the top ten through the years, while SHIB went further below in the rankings.
Shiba Inu More Ready to Overtake Dogecoin
Meanwhile, the Shiba Inu team is confident that this current endeavor to surpass DOGE will prove enduring, given the utility Shiba Inu now offers beyond its initial status as a meme coin.
They pointed out the formidable army Shiba Inu has built over the years. Moreover, they cited the ecosystem blockchain Shibarium, which offers various utilities to the crypto development space. Besides, the Shiba Inu crew noted having “secret wags,” which it is not yet prepared to disclose.
Considering Shiba Inu’s more fortified presence in the crypto space, the project team urged the crypto community to expect more wow moments about Shiba Inu when it resumes its bullish race.
“Get ready for a new top doggo. Much wows incoming,” Shiba Inu remarked.
Notably, many within the crypto community view Shiba Inu surpassing Dogecoin as an inevitable reality. Some have even suggested that SHIB could become the first meme coin to achieve a $100 billion market cap.
